According to my survey on 4 of my friends , most of them feel stress on their education include exam and presentation. They have their own timetable to manage their time. They also have their different ways to reduce their stress. Some of them will listen to music but most of them choose playing games to reduce their stress because it can relax their mental. They also suggest to do exercise regularly with friends because friends can help us to solve our stress . All of them said stress is good for them because it can make them improve themselves.
Trying to balance all of your commitments, such as school, work, volunteering, sports, hobbies, and social life, can sometimes be overwhelming and very stressful. Time management is one of the most valuable skills you can learn in university, and is an important component to being successful. Time management is the skill of making smart decisions about how to prioritize and allocate your time in order to accomplish set goals. It is working smarter, not necessarily harder.
Learning many of these skills, such as time management, meeting deadlines, prioritizing, organization, and adapting quickly to changing events, are useful to put on your resume and will make you more successful at your job and life in general. Here are some tips on how to get organized, reduce procrastination, balance school and work, and manage stress.
First you need to start a calender. There are tons of ways to do this based on what you prefer. You can buy a big erasable calendar from the bookstore, you can use Google Calendar, use the one on your Mac, or simply create one in a Word Doc. It is helpful to colour coordinate it to differentiate between your different obligations. A calendar helps you to organize your due dates, appointments, and activities. Knowing your deadlines early on can help you see if you have any clusters you need to prepare for in advance. It also helps you to develop a timeline of when you should start studying for midterms or exams, or writing papers.
It is really important to fill-in your fun and social events in your calendar as well. This will help keep you motivated and look forward to something you enjoy doing, and therefore you can avoid the overwhelming despair that comes from looking at a month full of obligations. It will also make you feel like you have a more balanced life.
You can also make a simple “To Do” list for the day and/or week. Creating more workable plans by subdividing larger tasks into smaller, more manageable ones, can really help you complete your goals. You can even go down to the very ridiculous of small to help you get started and celebrate your accomplishments, instead of agonize over what remains to be done. Instead you can break it down to “research”, “make-up outline”, “write first argument”, etc. Then those tasks could be broken down further, for example “research” can be split into “review course readings on topic”, “find 5 really good journal articles”, “read the 5 journal articles”, etc. This way, it doesn’t seem so daunting and is instead a lot more approachable.

Do you prefer to study hard during the week and then take it easy on the weekend (a.k.a. the work hard, party hard system)? Or do you prefer to study on weekends? You can book study spaces in advance, find quiet coffee shops, lock yourself in at home, or find any personal spaces where you can concentrate. Stress is something that affects many people each and every day. Life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For some people stress is so common it is a way of life. Stress can be very harmful and or helpful. It could help motivate you to meet a deadline and perform a task under pressure. It is important to recognize the causes , take steps to deal with the root or the problem, tackle the symptoms. Most importantly, don’t battle stress alone; ask for help from a friends and, if necessary, a professional.
One of the ways to battle stress is to exercise regularly. Targeted exercise goes a long way toward freeing your body of stress hormones and increasing your endorphin levels which are responsible for feeling of happiness. Carve out time during your busy day to exercise t both keep your body healthy and as a natural outlet for your stress.
Next, get enough sleep .Give your body the sleep it wants, and your stress levels will take a nosedive. Sleep is a mechanism by which your body recuperates and restores its energy reserves. If you’re not getting enough sleep, your body will use stress to keep you active and alert in the absence of stored energy. Most adults need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Young children and older adults need more ,about 9 to 10 hours sleep per night. Moreover, we should get into regular sleeping habits. If you can , try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each night and morning . Routinizing your sleep cycle will teach your body when it’s supposed to go to be tired, aiding in better sleep and less sleep deprivation.
Furthermore, eating properly is one of the best ways to overcome stress. Your body needs to be healthy, happy and properly fueled to help you tackle stress. Like it or not , stress is a bodily reaction to anything that disturbs its natural state, meaning that your body can have a profound effect on producing and relieving stress.
Moreover, avoid negative thinking. Acknowledge the positive in your life and begin to re-establish some balance in your emotional register. Avoid focusing on only the bad things that happened during the day , but consider the good as well. You should always stop and count your blessings. Write down even the simplest things that you have to enjoy: a roof over your head, a bed to sleep on ,quality food, warmth, security, good health, friends or family . Acknowledge that not everyone has these things. Saying something positive to yourself as soon as you wake up every morning helps you feel better immediately . This will keep your energy and mind focused on positive thinking . Be thankful for each day that you have ;you never know which one could be your last! Reinforce your resolve through positive statements such as, “I can handle this, one step at a time,” or “Since I’ve been successful with this before, there’s no reason why I can’t do it again .”
In a nutshell, stress can cause a lot of pain and suffering to human kind. Every day, cases of suicide due to stress are increasing by leaps and bounds. Therefore, we must always stay away from stress and live a stress-free life !
Time Management is very effective to help us to reduce our stress. In my opinion, we can stop worrying about our progress. By creating a clear plan for our work and a timeline with important milestones, we’ll minimise the effects of stress that come with working on your projects. Yes, there will be ups and downs on the path to completion, but with milestones in place, we can check your progress against them. our ability to monitor our progress means we will stay much calmer throughout the project’s course. Being able to do your work at a steady pace rather than rushing through will also increase our confidence in our abilities.
Next , it allows us to get enough rest . When we manage our time properly, we won’t stress over getting enough sleep or taking a day or two off a project to unwind. We can complete our work, enjoy our personal life, and still get a full night’s rest every night. Rather than putting off going to bed at the right time, the scheduling component of time management will allow us to go to sleep at a reasonable time, have enough rest, and sufficient energy to get through the next day.
Besides, It also helps us avoid feeling overwhelmed. We all know the feeling of staring at a big project, and suddenly our mind goes into fight-or-flight mode. While you may not bolt from your desk, you’ll suddenly find a million and one unimportant things to do rather than start on the project. But while you are working on these tasks, your mind is still on the project. By using time management to chunk and prioritise your tasks, you can dispel any feelings of overwhelm, regardless of the size of the project or task.
In conclusion, stress is a common occurrence in today’s workplace and, with our ever-increasing workloads, it’s no wonder we have become a nation of coffee swillers. But there’s still hope and it starts with better organisation of our work and life.Let’s face it, we’ll always have a great number of things to do, and there will never be enough time and energy to do them all. But when you learn how to use time management skills to simplify your life, you’ll find freedom!
